Zone 2 (in green) covers a large territory as far north as the Vancouver B.C., metro area, as far south as the Portland / Salem, Oregon metro area, as far east as the eastern border of Lewis County, and as far west as Washington's coastal towns along the Pacific Ocean.
In this Zone, longer distances, ferry routes, border crossings, and other factors contribute to the higher rates. Utilizing the Washington State Ferry system is very expensive! And we must also account for time spent waiting for a ferry or in line for inspection at the U.S.-Canadian border. If avoiding the ferries by taking the Tacoma Narrows bridge or driving around the Sound makes more sense, there is still the extra time and mileage to consider. And of course, there is congested traffic in the metro areas to contend with as well. However, even with these slowdowns, same-day or next-day service is almost always possible for most drop-off locations in this Zone - especially those near major interstates and highways. We always make every effort to get your shipment to its final destination fast, within the limits of staying safe and legal.

Important Things to Consider:
- Prepared Food and floral deliveries are available in Zone 1 only.
- Loads to or from Canada must be dedicated, direct, and one-way with no more than one pickup OR one drop-off location inside Canada. (At this time, Nicholson Logistics does not hold the authority or bond to take Intra-Canadian loads or make multiple pickups or deliveries within Canada.)
- ALL loads going to or from Canada must have any and all Delivery Order, Bill of Lading, and Manifest paperwork prepared BY the shipper and provided to our office or our driver BEFORE we begin travel to the pickup location.
- Any load that requires us to rent or lease another vehicle or special equipment will be additionally charged the total of all associated costs.
- We AVOID tolls whenever possible, but if our customers request that we use toll lanes or bridges for potentially faster delivery, the cost of said tolls will be added.
